What is Xanax?

Xanax is an addictive recommendation medicine that slows down the central nervous system. Xanax is as well recognized as benzodiazepines. It is an anti-panic and anti-anxiety medication. Xanax is helpful to ease tenseness, nervousness, and worry related with nervousness disorders.
It works by affecting the part of the brain that controls the emotions, thereby slowing down the nervous system.

Symptoms of Xanax Patients

Generally, it is characterized by unrealistic worry, illusion, mystification, hopelessness, rash, itchiness, sore throat, vision changes, dry mouth, etc.

Side Effects Of Xanax

Xanax has some side effects, if you take overdose of it. The side effects of exceeding Xanax dosages are sleepiness, susceptibility, vibration, state of unconsciousness, coma, problem in inhalation; closing of your throat; swelling of your lips, mouth, etc. At this time patient needs emergency treatment at once.

Precautions

Take following precautions while taking Xanax treatment.

  1. Don't not take Xanax if you are allergic to some benzodiazepine (ben-zoe-dye-AZ-eh-peen),
  2. Do check with the doctor before taking it with drugs such as Tagamet (TAG-ah-met), Norparmin (nor-PAR-min), Tofranil (TOE-frah-nil) or their generic equivalents, or other central nervous system depressants or oral contraceptives.
  3. Don't use alcohol while taking Xanax.
  4. Take xanax exactly as directed by your doctor.
  5. Take each dose with a full glass of water.
  6. Don't take more than is prescribed for you.
  7. Do not take xanax if you have narrow-angle glaucoma.
  8. Before taking this medication, tell your doctor if you have kidney disease; have liver disease; have asthma, bronchitis, emphysema, or another respiratory disease; or if you are depressed or have suicidal thoughts.
  9. Do not take this medication without first talking to your doctor if you are pregnant or breast-feeding a baby.
  10. Xanax is not permitted for use by children younger than 18 years of age.
  11. If you are over 65 years of age, you may require a lower dose of this medication.
  12. Do not take ketoconazole (Nizoral) or itraconazole (Sporanox) during treatment with xanax without first talking to your doctor.

Storage Of Xanax Medicine

Xanax should be kept at room temperature. Also Xanax should be stored away from humidity and warmth. Last but not the least keep Xanax out of the reach of kids.

Withdrawal Of Xanax

Xanax is habit-forming. If patient suddenly discontinue xanax treatment then it would cause withdrawal swymptoms. Therefore, If you are allowing for stopping Xanax treatment, concern your doctor for advice. So that, you can stop xanax treatment safely without any problem.
